Good upgrade from a shorter shaft.
I found this very easy to install. There are several YouTubes out there about shaft replacement. I heated the older 36" shaft with propane torch to remove it, cleaned the threads and installed the new one with Locktite Red. Made my own wiring extension harness. All went together quite well with no glitches. I cut the longer 52" shaft down to 46" which was perfect for my semi-V hull 16' boat. The new shaft fit my old Minnkota Turbo 65 just fine. I will say the new shaft has thicker/sturdier walls. Outside diameter and threads matched the original.
