Best selection of parts for older downriggers...better than the manufacturer, Cannon. In addition, Fish307 is one of the few places to find information about new parts (that replace defective parts in the original design).

Reel Assy
Ordered 4 of these to replace the old style spools that had split and allowed the cable to get tangled up on the spools. Very easy to replace. My downriggers should work like new again.

Replaced Cracked Wheel on old Uni-Troll
Have an older style Uni-troll unit. The wheel was of the original design where the cable could slip down in the wheel. Replaced with this and new 250ft cable and it works perfectly. Installation went very smooth.

Works great even with mono or braided line.

Reel assembly
As other reviewers have stated this one piece reel is a huge improvement over previous models. Easy installation for the most part. It's a little difficult to be sure the set screw is lined up and engaged.

Cannon Reel assembly
Good quality reel. A bit bummed that fedex didn’t handle it with care, as the gear for the counter was a bit smashed. I was able to file the teeth gaps enough for it to work though.
