Keypad lasted less than 6 weeks
I purchased this keypad to replace the one on my digitroll IV which kept scrolling through the menu screen no matter which button you pressed. I installed the new keypad, sealed it all up, resealed the downrigger housing and put it back on my boat. The unit then worked fine for about 6 weeks when it started doing the exact same thing as the one I replaced. There is no warranty for these so I purchased a second one. This will be the last one that I purchase. If it goes out again I will bypass the computer board with a switch to raise and lower the ball. My downriggers are covered covered when not in use. They haven't been sitting out in the rain. They seem to corrode inside in short order. Cannon will not stand behind the part either. Not happy.
